Made for 's Improvement Challenge! (she's like my inspiration btw check her out)
I'm really grateful she makes challenges like this. Challenges that are actually meant for us. Like that, I don't care if I don't win haha I gained something already anyway. I can see my improvement (although just a tiny bit) in one year. Well this is in one year and 2 days, really. Not exactly one year.. Something I regret so much is that I didn't draw much this year. I didn't manage to draw something worth posting every month so I really need to work on rendering and stuff that you do on "finished" artworks. I flipped it btw XD I just think it kinda looks better
Tbh, I don't really think I improved much. Especially on backgrounds. BACKGROUNDS XD Backgrounds are always something I'm bad at. But at least I think I THINK its less strange like this. Like... the door acutally has frames and I don't think you can see the floor at that point of view and I actually did a tiny bit of (failed) perspective.
The other thing I changed is the pose. I drew boring poses back then I think. Just standing straight and nothing really going on so I thought I need to change that. Do you think my proportions improve btw? I am a little bit proud of it. XD Its not perfect, its bad tbh, but kinda improved right? RIGHT?
I don't think I improved much on colours its still too dark. Way too dark. It is supposed to be dark but this is too dark I think. Oh and something I really improved on would be to like to make something look more 3D. Last year I drew hands like they're cut out from paper XD its better now I guess. Oh the blending is actually better because I was using iPad back then (I had no drawing tablet) and now I'm using a drawing tablet so there's supposed to be a different there

Oh my, I'm just browsing through your gallery, and then I come across this! I still remember when you uploaded that left picture! Wow, what a difference with how you draw it now. You've definitely improved a ton. The new pose is so cool! And how the orange light hits his face... Looks amazing.
